We didn't have too much time after the play to do a lot of sightseeing, but we were able to walk down Oxford Street, which is basically just a bunch of shops strung together in the most beautiful shopping center you've ever seen. Oxford Street eventually leads to Regent Street and finally to Picadilly Circus, which is London's answer to New York's Times Square.
Oxford Street:
Kate. Rachel. Lucy.
My English girlies.
Regent Street:
Kate and Lucy
Picadilly Circus:
Windswept glory!
Kate!
Me and Lucy
How awesome do I look blocking the entrance/exit?
Finally, after a very long day, we headed back down into the London Underground.
Kate's parents were so incredibly generous and let all of us spend the night at their house in the countryside of England. I felt absolutely at home there because for the first time since I've arrived, I was in a small town! I'm a small town girl so I loved it. Unfortunately, we were all too tired to take any pictures... but never fear, I definitely plan on going back and taking copious amounts of pictures. Thus ends Day One in London. I'll do more posts tomorrow about Day Two.
TO BE CONTINUED!
STAY TUNED!
