London Day Two... Part One: A Morning of Wonderful Cliches!

Prepare yourselves, readers... This is the most cliched picture of London ever:
That's pretty much going to set the tone of this post... Not a lot of commentary, just plenty of pictures; but I know this is all the stuff y'all really want to see so enjoy!

When we got into London the second day we came right to the bridge the deatheaters blew up in the 6th Harry Potter flick... What the what?!?!?

Standing on a movie star!

Then I (like the true American tourist that I am) demanded that we head straight towards Parliament, Big Ben, and the London Eye
because you just can't beat this view as far as skylines go:

I was actually there!  Proof, guys!

At the base of the London Eye!

Sorry... probably way too many pictures of Big Ben but it was absolutely amazing in a way that pictures cannot capture.  So I thought with my American logic "If people can't understand me, I'll just go bigger, louder, and with a general overabundance of MORE!"

After our long walk past Parliament, we were famished and had to eat.  I hadn't yet had a full English breakfast, and alas, I didn't get one this day either... I STILL haven't had one by the way.  However, we did find a cafe called
'The Slug and Lettuce'...
Let that soak in for a second.
Sit in it for a while.
Amazingly, we weren't completely put off by the disgusting name and went in...

And thank God that we did!  This is Kate's face after she took her first bite...
It's a good face, I promise... really.
She's saying "Mmmmm" but the camera caught her at the worst possible moment.

I had lasagna. It was great.  No picture though.  I ate it too quickly and no one wanted to put their hands close enough to my mouth to snap a photo!

To Be Continued!
